About the App

Glas-Go is a tourist app to help tourists find and book eateries around Glasgow. It is designs to be simple and helpful to the user, reducing any stress the user may have, especially when potentially already in an unfamiliar area.

Glas-Go has features for finding restaurants and other eateries, directions to these places on most modes of transport, booking information, deals and vouchers, as well as other information such as price, rating, and other tags (romantic, family, etc.).

Glasg-Go was an app created for my HCI module in my second year of university. I chose a brief which asked me to design an app for helping tourists based on their restaurant needs. The app had to have specific elements, such as a search facility and a way to book tables.

Glas-Go was created over the course of three months and went from an initial design phase and was iterated all the way to the final product featured on this page. This project is something I am personally very proud of, as I created it myself when most others were in groups of two or three, and I achieved an exceptionally high mark in this module based on my work. I was praised very highly for my keen attention to detail and my explanations for why I designed the app the way it is, with the user being central at all points.
